Arriving by Air

When planning your trip to attend the IMBIZO7, you have two main airport options: Rabat-Salé International Airport (RBA) and Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) in Casablanca. There aren’t many flights scheduled to Rabat city airport. It’s easier to find flights to Casablanca city airport.

Taxi:

Taxis are readily available outside the airport terminal. A ride to the city center or IAV Hassan II will take around 30 minutes and cost approximately 180-250 MAD (18-25 USD).

The Tram System in Rabat offers an alternative for transportation. You can take a taxi to the nearby Hay Karima Tram Station and then board Line 1 to Madinat Al Irfane Station, close to the IAV Hassan II. A single tram ride costs approximately 6 MAD (0.6 USD).

  • Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) in Casablanca, about 110 km from Rabat, provides a larger selection of international flights and may offer more flexible scheduling options. While travel from CMN to Rabat involves a longer journey of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
