I am a junior undergraduate student majoring in Journalism at East China Normal University. Through my coursework and journalism practice, I have gained experience in news writing, interviewing, photographing and video producing, which have strengthened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. My internship at the Overseas Department of Xinmin Evening News offered me valuable exposure to international reporting and cross-cultural communication, sparking my interest in global communication and media collaboration.
As an intern at IMBeR, I am eager to apply my communication and organizational skills in an international research environment. I look forward to supporting the team’s outreach and coordination efforts, learning from global experts in marine and sustainability research, and deepening my understanding of how science communication contributes to addressing global environmental challenges.

I’m 25 years old and from Shanghai. I am currently a master–PhD integrated program student in Estuarine and Coastal Sciences, with my research centered on green revetments—a nature-based strategy that enhances coastal resilience while supporting ecological restoration.
My undergraduate training in Port, Harbor, and Coastal Engineering provided me with a solid foundation in coastal processes and engineering design. Since entering graduate school, I have actively participated in academic and community activities alike. I’ve taken part in multiple volunteer initiatives organized by my college, which strengthened my sense of responsibility and teamwork. Academically, I have attended several international conferences, where I engaged with researchers from around the world and gained valuable exposure to cutting-edge developments in coastal science.
Outside of research, I enjoy playing basketball and listening to music—they help me stay balanced, energized, and creative.
As I join IMBeR on this new journey, I look forward to deepening my interdisciplinary collaboration skills, broadening my global perspective, and contributing to sustainable solutions for coastal zones in an era of climate change.

I am a senior majoring in English at East China Normal University, where I serve as the President of the Student Union in the School of Foreign Languages. Through this role, I have cultivated strong organizational and leadership skills. Notably, I have achieved a silver medal in the Shanghai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and received second-class academic scholarships for two times from my school.
As an intern at IMBeR, I am excited to apply my coordination and project management skills to support the operation of an international program. I look forward to gaining deeper insights into global marine research collaboration and enhancing my problem-solvingw competencies in a professional, cross-cultural environment.

As a Marine Geology postgraduate at SKLEC, East China Normal University, I built upon a foundation in Physical Geography to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of Earth’s systems.
My research reconstructs Quaternary paleoenvironments through the analysis of sediment cores, tracing the history of climate change and its effects on sea levels and coasts. Beyond academia, I am a dedicated runner and swimmer; the discipline and focus required by sports strengthen my approach to research.
Joining IMBeR as an intern, I look forward to developing my organizational and administrative skills while contributing to meaningful scientific research on a sediment analysis and paleoclimatic modeling. Learning from the esteemed scientific community, this experience is a crucial step in my journey to contribute to marine sustainability.

I’m a junior majoring in Environmental Science at East China Normal University. I have a solid academic foundation in environmental science and rich practical experience. As Youth League Committee Presidium Chairman, I have excellent organizational and communication skills. I am proficient in Office software and public account formatting—all of which I believe will support me in fulfilling internship tasks effectively.
Eager to explore my major’s practical value, I’m passionate about marine conservation. For this internship, I hope to join more marine conservation international conferences, learn global perspectives on the topic, gain environmental protection insights to deepen my professional understanding, and contribute to the field—letting my knowledge go beyond the classroom and serve the ocean.
