IMBeR – Integrated Marine Biosphere Research – along with its predecessor IMBER – Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research – has a legacy of almost 20 years of driving research for ocean sustainability. IMBeR has now started a process to develop a new science plan to be launched after 2025 when the current Science Plan and Implementation Strategy 2016-2025 has come to an end. We aim to create a science plan that best positions IMBeR within the evolving landscape of ocean sustainability research where we can have the biggest impact and build on our impressive legacy. The process to develop a new science plan will involve soliciting broad input from the ocean science community and we look forward to the community’s guidance and support.
