IMBeR is a co-sponsor of the 4th International Symposium on the Effects of Climate Change on the World’s Oceans (ECCWO) that will explore the consequences of climate change on ocean ecosystems and the dependent communities under a range of future scenarios and socio-economic pathways. By bringing together an interdisciplinary group of marine scientists, the ECCWO symposium will facilitate the synthesis of information on how climate-related changes will influence marine ecosystems and society. This knowledge will be useful in informing societal choices to prepare for and respond to changing oceans, including adaptation and management options. Outputs from the symposium will provide information that will be useful for a variety of national and international analyses of climate impacts on the world’s oceans.
