UNOC 2025 Side Events
This event brings together early-career researchers (ECRs) and ocean professionals in marine sciences to reflect on the future of ocean-related early-career networks beyond the UN Ocean Decade. IMECaN is now looking ahead to the future of scientific collaboration, networking, and capacity building for early-career ocean professionals. The event will feature a futuring session focused on the role of ECRs in achieving SDG14. Participants will be invited to explore what support, opportunities, challenges, and networks lie ahead in the pursuit of “the ocean we want.” As the backbone of ocean sustainability, ECRs are inherently tied to the success of SDG14. We are the next generation of ocean leaders, making it essential to collectively envision the future we want.
