Indonesia Marine Biogeochemistry Forum (IMBF) Webinar Series Update

The Indonesia Marine Biogeochemistry Forum (IMBF) launched its webinar series to mainstream marine biogeochemistry as a vital field of study. The first two sessions, held on 17 October and 14 November 2024, covered topics such as the global carbon cycle, ocean chemistry, and the biogeochemical impacts of climate change. Designed to engage both experts and non-experts, the series fosters collaboration and simplifies complex topics for broader accessibility. For those unable to attend, recordings of the webinars are available on YouTube and YouKu. The next webinar (the third in the series), exploring advanced topics, is scheduled for 11 December 2024. This 12-part series aims to strengthen IMBF’s network while emphasizing the global and local significance of marine biogeochemistry.

The IMBF was established in October 2024 to provide a platform for biogeochemistry (or chemical oceanography) researchers in Indonesia to exchange ideas, coordinate efforts, and collaborate. Chaired by Prof. Dr. A’an Johan Wahyudi, IMBeR’s National Contact for Indonesia, the IMBF also serves as the IMBeR National Committee for Indonesia.

IMBF Webinar Series Video Recordings are available here (YouTube and YouKu).

The 3rd webinar of the IMBF will take place on 11 December 2024.
